Te Moana Barlow Bartlett, Kaiarahi Pakihi Māori at Now, leading a cultural ceremony in Now's Christchurch office, recognised as a finalist in the Corporate Change award at the Matihiko Awards.

We're delighted our Kaiarahi Pakihi Māori, Te Moana Barlow Bartlett has been recognised as a Finalist in the Corporate Change award in this year's Matihiko Awards.

The annual Matihiko Awards – Celebrate Māori Excellence in Digital and Technology, and provide recognition for Maori leaders, and emerging leaders in the sector.

Te Moana has been with Now since 2020 when he joined as a call centre agent in the Ahuriri, Napier office. In 2022, he approached the Head of Business Sales with an idea.  He felt Now could be doing more for Māori run organisations, and that in turn Now could benefit from this incredible and growing segment, and he was keen to lead the charge.

Since then, Te Moana has been helping Māori organisations and forging authentic partnerships grounded in Te Ao Māori values. He's also been bringing Māori culture to life at Now, whether it is the introduction of Now's karakia, welcoming of new team members, Matariki celebrations, or the opening and blessing of Now's Christchurch office, as shown above.

The Matihiko Awards are set to take place on 22 June in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland and we'll be there alongside Te Moana to celebrate this tremendous achievement.
